A word from the Founders
‘Why establish a Foundation ?’ We aim to improve the living conditions of the poorest people, whilst at the same time improving their environment. Because we believe that everything is linked, and it is always where the environment is the most degraded that one finds the biggest misery.
Because we want sustainable actions, they must be within the only possible development, sustainable development, i.e. sustainable for the planet, whatever the field of intervention we are working in.
We have named this Foundation « Ensemble » (together), because it symbolizes the link between the human being and the whole chain of life. A link between all the populations we work with, our project implementing partners, our Board of Experts, the Foundation’s team, and our Board of Directors. And of course, our children and grand-children, bearers of its future.
We, Founders, are involved daily in the life of our Foundation. We carefully study all projects supported. This area of life we have created has become a fundamental element of our own life. It is also a great source of joy.
Gérard Brémond is the founder, chairman-CEO and main shareholder of Pierre&Vacances – Center Parcs, a French company listed on the Paris Stock Exchange since 1999. Jacqueline Délia-Brémond, his wife, is a former publisher. Pierre&Vacances – Center Parcs is currently the leading European company in the holiday accommodation market sector.
