French and foreign foundations meet in Paris within the framework of the COP21

The United Nations 21st Conference of the Parties (COP 21) was held from 30 November to 11 December 2015. In this context, in the framework of the Foundations and Climate Group, coordinated by the French Foundation Center, various organizations, including Fondation Ensemble, welcomed French and foreign foundations. From 6 to 11 December, they discussed the impact of climate change in areas such as health, food, climate refugees, and the Divest-Invest movement

In particular, Fondation Ensemble, in conjunction with the Charles Léopold Meyer Foundation, the Daniel and Nina Carasso Foundation, Fondation de France and GAFF (Global Alliance for the Future of Food) organized a conference on the theme of ‘Climate and Food’. Foundations undoubtedly have a role to play when it comes to building sustainable food systems while tackling climate change. The speakers highlighted the role of foundations in supporting innovative projects and research as well as facilitating dissemination of results and strengthening networks.
