Programmes Fund represents 85% of the annual budget . It covers Water and Sanitation , Sustainable development fields of involvement in developing countries, and Solidarity and Environmental education in France .

Projects are selected during two annual committee meetings. The opinion of the Foundation ’s Board of Experts is sought on the occasion of the committee meetings, via a forum.

The minimum amount allocated per project is 40,000 € per annum, and support is given for at least two years. The Foundation can provide up to 50% of the total budget for the project, up to a maximum subsidy level of 300,000 €.

45% of the projects in which the Foundation is involved are in Africa, 35% in Asia, 17% in Latin America and 10% are in France.

As part of the strategy, projects supporter in the "Programmes Fund" benefit from sustained support throughout the lifetime of the project.
External assessments are performed. They can be implemented as a mid-term review, at the end of the programme or whenever deemed necessary.
