Founders
A word from Founders
To all those who ask us: "Why a foundation ?" We reply: "Why this particular foundation ?" For us, the creation of a foundation was self-evident.
As for its mission, our analysis quickly imposed a joint objective: to improve the living conditions of underprivileged populations and, at the same time, to restore their environment. Because everything is linked, and it is always in countries with the most damaged environment that suffering is felt the most severely.
Since we also wanted to support long term actions, even beyond the scope of our own intervention, our projects follow the lines of the only possible form of development, sustainable development.
Finally, we have given this foundation the name Ensemble, which means together, because it symbolises the link which unites us, firstly with our children, the ones who will carry these projects in the future; with the associations which are the vectors of our projects; with the Foundation’s team and its director, Irène Serot Almeras, not forgetting the members of our Board of Directors and our College of Experts.
We founders, participate in the life of our foundation on daily basis. Every programme is subject to in-depth analysis by us. Today, this dynamic movement we have created has become a fundamental part of our life. It is also a great source of joy. Gérard Brémond Jacqueline Delia Brémond President Vice Chairman

| | | | | Gérard Brémond is the founder, chairman-CEO and majority shareholder of Pierre & Vacances, a French company listed on the Paris Bourse since 1999. Jacqueline Délia-Brémond , his wife, is publisher. Working in the holiday accommodation construction sector, with a keen interest in architecture, in 1967 Gérard designed and created the Avoriaz ski station. He went on to build other holiday resorts in French tourist regions in the mountains and on the coast.
Then Pierre & Vacances largely extended its business activities in tourism, through the acquisition of operators in the sector, including Adagio, Citea, Sun Parcs, Les hôtels Latitude, Maeva, and, more recently, Center Parcs. Pierre & Vacances is currently the leading European company in the holiday accommodation market sector. Gérard Brémond and his wife, Jacqueline Délia-Brémond , who works in publishing, had long cherished the idea of becoming involved in work in the public interest. Their children, Delphine, Nathalie and Olivier, share this enthusiasm and support the project. Thus, they have decided to give concrete expression to their intention, by setting up Fondation Ensemble . |
